Just a quick "catch-up post" with a promise of pictures to come soon.
Alex participated in soccer camp last week here at the school. He was supposed to be a part of the middle school camp but due to low enrollment they had to cancel it, thus bumping him up to the varsity camp with a college coach. He was so tiny out there, but did really well. I think we will see the payoffs as soccer begins this fall. He had a fun time which is great, since we were a bit concerned about him being overwhelmed by the "older" kids.
Jack will leave this afternoon for a week long church camp. It is the same church camp I went to when I was his age. He is really excited. It should be a great week for him.
We celebrated the 4th of July last night with some of our PA family. We had a great time of food and fellowship. They all headed out to other places (or bed), and we headed out to our backyard to watch the fireworks. It was great. We actually could see two different locations. So we watched fireworks from about 9:15-11:00.
We are anxiously awaiting news from IN about the arrival of the newest member of the family. (Another nephew, YIPPEE!!) While the scheduled date is further out, we all seem to think it will be sooner rather than later.
On the other end of the spectrum we are trying to keep up to date on a dear friend as he enters the last few days of his life here on earth. Please pray for the McCleary family. They are a wonderful family walking a very tough road right now. Also, keep Alex in prayer, he and Austin were close friends and being so far away is hard on him right now.
We continue to be reminded that we serve an amazing God. He is faithful in so many ways.
